1.​ ​​ ​​What​ ​is​ ​the​ ​Together​ ​Event​?​ ​​

​It's​ ​the​ ​re-imagining​ ​of​ ​our​ ​annual​ ​dinner​ ​auction,​ ​which​ ​is​ ​the​ ​largest​ ​individual fundraiser​ ​at​ ​Saint​ ​Frances​ ​Cabrini​ ​Parish​ ​and​ ​also​ ​an​ ​opportunity​ ​for​ ​our​ ​school​ ​and​ ​parish​ ​families​ ​to​ ​join​ ​in​ ​a night​ ​of​ ​fellowship.​ ​On​ ​the​ ​night​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Together​ ​Event​ ​you​ ​can​ ​expect​ ​to​ ​see​ ​a​ ​Silent​ ​Auction,​ ​Live​ ​Auction including​ ​a​ ​Fund​ ​a​ ​Need,​ ​Raffle,​ ​Dinner​ ​and​ ​Dance.​ ​​ ​Items​ ​for​ ​bidding​ ​encompass​ ​a​ ​large​ ​range​ ​of​ ​price​ ​points allowing​ ​everyone​ ​to​ ​participate.

2.​ ​​ ​​I’m​ ​not​ ​a​ ​school​ ​parent,​ ​can​ ​I​ ​attend​?​ ​​ ​​

We​ ​encourage​ ​everyone​ ​to​ ​attend.​ ​​ ​The​ ​more​ ​the​ ​merrier-​ ​that​ ​means​ ​all school​ ​and​ ​parish​ ​members​ ​as​ ​well​ ​as​ ​neighbors,​ ​friends​ ​and​ ​family,​ ​community​ ​partners​ ​or​ ​those​ ​just​ ​looking​ ​for​ ​a fun​ ​night​ ​out​ ​are​ ​welcome.​ ​​ ​If​ ​you​ ​are​ ​planning​ ​to​ ​attend,​ ​consider​ ​inviting​ ​others​ ​to​ ​join​ ​you.​ ​​ ​However​ ​the auction​ ​is​ ​considered​ ​an​ ​adult​ ​event,​ ​so​ ​while​ ​we​ ​love​ ​our​ ​students,​ ​it​ ​is​ ​appreciated​ ​that​ ​guests​ ​are​ ​over​ ​18.

3.​ ​​ ​​Where​ ​does​ ​the​ ​money​ ​go​?​ ​​ ​

The​ ​event​ ​committee​ ​works​ ​very​ ​hard​ ​to​ ​underwrite​ ​much​ ​of​ ​the​ ​expense​ ​of​ ​the evening​ ​so​ ​that​ ​earnings​ ​can​ ​go​ ​directly​ ​to​ ​the​ ​school.​ ​​ ​The​ ​price​ ​of​ ​the​ ​dinner​ ​ticket​ ​covers​ ​the​ ​catering​ ​and​ ​rental costs.​ ​​ ​Money​ ​raised​ ​that​ ​evening​ ​is​ ​used​ ​to​ ​offset​ ​the​ ​parish​ ​subsidy​ ​to​ ​our​ ​school​ ​allowing​ ​us​ ​to​ ​keep​ ​competitive tuition​ ​rates​ ​while​ ​funding​ ​needs​ ​and​ ​wants​ ​for​ ​the​ ​school.​ ​​ ​Examples​ ​of​ ​the​ ​former​ ​and​ ​latter:​ ​​ ​roof​ ​repairs​ ​and new​ ​playground​ ​equipment.​ ​​ ​Money​ ​raised​ ​for​ ​teacher​ ​wish​ ​lists​ ​goes​ ​directly​ ​to​ ​the​ ​specified​ ​teacher​ ​and donations​ ​received​ ​toward​ ​the​ ​Fund​ ​a​ ​Need​ ​portion​ ​of​ ​the​ ​night​ ​are​ ​used​ ​only​ ​for​ ​that​ ​expenditure.

4.​ ​​ ​​Why​ ​are​ ​there​ ​"Together​ ​Event"​ ​related​ ​fundraisers​ ​before​ ​the​ ​event​?​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​

The​ ​success​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Together​ ​Event​ ​cannot​ ​be left​ ​to​ ​one​ ​evening​ ​alone.​ ​​ ​Therefore​ ​you​ ​will​ ​be​ ​made​ ​aware​ ​of​ ​parent​ ​parties,​ ​bake​ ​sales​ ​and​ ​other​ ​events​ ​that​ ​are fundraisers​ ​that​ ​go​ ​toward​ ​the​ ​auction.​ ​​ ​Depending​ ​on​ ​the​ ​event,​ ​the​ ​money​ ​raised​ ​may​ ​be​ ​used​ ​to​ ​purchase​ ​items for​ ​auction,​ ​underwrite​ ​parts​ ​of​ ​the​ ​evening​ ​or​ ​go​ ​into​ ​the​ ​overall​ ​profits​ ​of​ ​the​ ​event.​ ​​ ​Most​ ​of​ ​these​ ​events​ ​are​ ​also community​ ​building​ ​as​ ​well​ ​as​ ​fundraisers.

5.​ ​​ ​​What​ ​do​ ​I​ ​wear​?​ ​​ ​

A​ ​general​ ​rule​ ​of​ ​thumb​ ​as​ ​to​ ​the​ ​level​ ​of​ ​"dressiness"​ ​is​ ​what​ ​you​ ​would​ ​wear​ ​to​ ​a​ ​wedding. Most​ ​women​ ​wear​ ​dresses​ ​or​ ​skirts​ ​and​ ​most​ ​men​ ​wear​ ​ties.​ ​​ ​It​ ​is​ ​completely​ ​acceptable​ ​to​ ​wear​ ​what​ ​you​ ​feel comfortable​ ​in,​ ​however​ ​an​ ​understanding​ ​that​ ​this​ ​is​ ​meant​ ​to​ ​be​ ​a​ ​semi-formal​ ​event​ ​is​ ​appreciated.​ ​​ ​Outfits reflecting​ ​the​ ​theme​ ​of​ ​the​ ​year​ ​are​ ​always​ ​fun​ ​and​ ​welcomed​ ​however​ ​never​ ​a​ ​requirement​ ​or​ ​expectation.

6.​ ​​ ​​How​ ​do​ ​I​ ​know​ ​what​ ​I​ ​will​ ​be​ ​bidding​ ​on​?​ ​​ ​

Sneak​ ​peeks​ ​and​ ​other​ ​information​ ​will​ ​come​ ​home​ ​with​ ​your​ ​child​ ​in Thursday​ ​folders​ ​or​ ​be​ ​included​ ​in​ ​the​ ​SFC​ ​emailed​ ​newsletter.​ ​​ ​However​ ​the​ ​most​ ​complete​ ​source​ ​of​ ​information will​ ​be​ ​on​ ​the​ ​webpage,​ ​​cabrinitogether.com​.​ ​​ ​The​ ​Silent​ ​and​ ​Live​ ​auction​ ​items​ ​will​ ​be​ ​posted​ ​and​ ​updated regularly.​ ​​ ​Raffle​ ​items,​ ​Teacher​ ​Wish​ ​Lists,​ ​Golf​ ​Outing​ ​signups,​ ​Sure​ ​Things,​ ​and​ ​other​ ​special​ ​packages​ ​will​ ​be listed​ ​as​ ​well.

7.​ ​​Why​ ​should​ ​I​ ​participate​?​ ​​ ​​ ​

Because​ ​we​ ​need​ ​you!​ ​​ ​The​ ​Together​ ​Event​ ​cannot​ ​succeed​ ​without​ ​participation.

Many​ ​volunteer​ ​hours​ ​are​ ​put​ ​into​ ​making​ ​a​ ​fun,​ ​successful​ ​night​ ​to​ ​benefit​ ​all​ ​of​ ​our​ ​children.​ ​​ ​It​ ​is​ ​the​ ​goal​ ​of every​ ​auction​ ​chair​ ​each​ ​year​ ​to​ ​fill​ ​the​ ​room​ ​with​ ​a​ ​large​ ​amount​ ​of​ ​attendees​ ​who​ ​contribute​ ​to​ ​the​ ​success​ ​and viability​ ​of​ ​our​ ​school,​ ​and​ ​leave​ ​having​ ​had​ ​a​ ​great​ ​time.​ ​​ ​School​ ​and​ ​parish​ ​families​ ​as​ ​well​ ​as​ ​many​ ​businesses​ ​in our​ ​communities​ ​are​ ​all​ ​asked​ ​to​ ​contribute​ ​and​ ​donate.​ ​​ ​Please​ ​consider​ ​participating​ ​with​ ​a​ ​donation​ ​and​ ​come join​ ​in​ ​the​ ​fun​ ​of​ ​the​ ​night.​ ​Feel​ ​free​ ​to​ ​contact​ ​the​ ​school​ ​office​ ​or​ ​auction​ ​chairs​ ​with​ ​any​ ​additional​ ​questions.
